Technical information

1. Scope

Below testing requirements cover manually and mechanicallly operable special-use switches:

  • The parameters are for use on direct current as well as on alternating current or on alternating current only.
  • For the load ratings, do not exceed 60A 250V or a lower potential (≤60A 250A) nor 30A or 2HP at 600V or a lower potential (≤30A 600V, or ≤2HP 600V).

2. Electrical Ratings

 No.  Item  Requirements
2.1  Rating in voltage and current  (based on switch type)
2.2  Contact resistance (new state)  <100milliohms (5V,1A DC)
 2.3  Dielectric strength (new state)

 >1000V >

2500V → On request

(10 mA between the contacts)

2.4  Insulation resistance (new state)  >100 Megaohms (500 V DC between the open contacts)
2.5  Inrush current  50 A/3 msec (capacitive load)
 2.6  Electrical life endurance
